Phil Bodger started flying drones in 2017. At that time, he ran a commercial building cleaning company (High Reach Systems) delivering to commercial clients including Network Rail and TFL. Phil was responsible for planning and providing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and realised that surveying using a drone was safer and ruled out the need for hiring cherry pickers and climbing onto roofs.

Phil established Coast SUA Ltd in 2018 and received an OSC (Operating Safety Case) status from the CAA at that time. The OSC is an enhanced qualification that increases the scope of Coast SUA drone operations. Needless to say, safety is paramount in all Coast SUA operations.

Coast SUA is focused on delivering assets including photos, video and mapping data, to the best standards using the safest procedures.
